Heather + David were married in May 2014 at Chez Chicago.  They really rallied when they lost their original venue just a few weeks before their wedding.  All of us vendors kind of tried to jump in and help them find a new space and it was weird how it worked out — Heather kept talking about bright, light, open and airy spaces.  I think Chez ended up being a better fit than their original choice and theirs was the very first wedding they had. Elizabeth stopped by Siobhan + Nate’s wedding for a behind the scenes look just as Laura finished putting the final touches on their papel picado banners and clusters of flowers in milk glass vases.  Rain moved the ceremony indoors at the last minute, but the happy decorations kept things bright and cheerful!

Anissa’s mom was instrumental in planning this red-white-and-blue Independence Day celebration.  She arrived for a walkthrough carrying her notes, her car full of fun things.  We toured the event spaces at the Newberry Library together, catching a peek at the reception hall being set up for that day’s wedding.
