Heather + David were married in May 2014 at Chez Chicago. They really rallied when they lost their original venue just a few weeks before their wedding. All of us vendors kind of tried to jump in and help them find a new space and it was weird how it worked out — Heather kept talking about bright, light, open and airy spaces. I think Chez ended up being a better fit than their original choice and theirs was the very first wedding they had. A leap of faith, maybe, but man did we all have our game faces on ready to throw ourselves in front of a bus for these two. They got ready!
The old saying goes something like, “you catch more flies with honey,” and I can’t help but think of that every time I think of Heather and David. They are two of THE. LOVELIEST. PEOPLE you will ever meet and it’s amazing how you can feel yourself going above and beyond for them. It was an incredible day to be a part of with a rock star vendor team.
1,000 paper cranes folded by Heather, along with some drape, lighting, floral and a few personal touches made a simple but ridiculously elegant day. A little bit Chicago city chic, a little bit rustic, but mostly a lot of love, support, and teamwork. An amazing thing to watch and once of those couples that you know if just going to be so happy together, forever.
