Courtney + Mike were married in April 2014 at the Chicago Cultural Center. Being Irish and Catholic didn’t help their guest list numbers and they celebrated with 250 friends and family at the Rockefeller Memorial Chapel and they partied all night long at the beautiful Chicago Cultural Center. Courtney and Mike had a combined wedding party of 28 friends and family. It was quite a group to coordinate but it had to be a blast to get ready with that many of your favorite people in one room.
My sweet colleague Katie at The Savvy Event planned with the couple and as their wedding day got closer, and she got further and further along in her pregnancy, she realized she needed to call in some back-up because it was a day FULL of running around. Laura, Julia and I all pitched in to help get set up and make sure everything was perfect.
I think I can officially say that Rockefeller Memorial Chapel is the most gorgeous chapel in the city and the detail shots taken at the Chicago Cultural Center were absolutely gorgeous. So many lovely details Mike + Courtney incorporated, proving you can make a large wedding personal and unique. Cake pop escort cards, tons of sweets from Sweet Mandy B’s, that gorgeous domed ceiling, late night food from three of their favorite haunts and then of course, the bagpipers showed up!
