From the minute we started working with Tory + Brendan, we just loved working with them to plan their beautiful backyard wedding. Their gorgeous tented reception at Tory’s sister’s house in Winnetka was filled with all the best details – delightful flowers, s’mores around a fire pit, and a folk band that kept the crowd on the dance floor all night.
We just love a good outdoor wedding, so when Jenna + Max asked us to coordinate their wedding at Max’s family’s house in Wilmette, we couldn’t wait! Combine the most perfect, personal venue with some seriously awesome DIY details an amazing band and a fun-loving crowd and you have one of the best backyard weddings ever!
When Laura met Laurie at an art fair in 2013 (and bought one of her beautiful Lake Michigan prints), she had no idea she’d end up coordinating her wedding a few years later or that she’d get to coordinate another wedding in one of her favorite places on Earth – Harbor Springs, Michigan. Julia is one of our day-of coordinators, and her enthusiasm for parties and handmade details brought her to Anticipation Events. Her friend Katie loves ice cream, so an ice cream social was the perfect theme for her bridal shower.
She prettied up her backyard with roses and mint in vases hung from tree branches, and made huge crepe paper flowers to decorate the chairs (inspired by A Blissful Nest’s tutorial.)
Britta + Ty were married in September 2013 at a private residence in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Some family friends live on a gorgeous piece of property that seems otherworldly, like you stepped into a magazine. With Britta’s great style (she owns Faithful Roots) a gorgeous setting and a wild and crazy bridal party, this was one of my most memorable weddings from 2013!
