We have been waiting so long to post this one! We had so much fun helping Colleen + Mark plan one stunner of a wedding at Harold Washington Library Center last summer. Colleen + Mark called us a few months before their wedding because they had a venue but needed help bringing their vision to life. So, we hopped on board to help plan all of the rest!

Out + About

Colleen + Mark started the day getting ready with family and friends before heading out for some stunning first look photos. We love the unique locations that Braxton Black from Jeremy Lawson Photography found for these shots and, of course, Colleen + Mark brought the personality! Mark is a graphic designer and took care of all of the Chicago-inspired paper goods while Colleen’s family got the family photo to end all family photos.

Next stop: The Library!

And if that wasn’t enough, just wait until you see the ceremony and reception! Holy wow. A wedding at Harold Washington Library Center is nothing if not dramatic. The natural light and glass ceiling provide such a beautiful backdrop and the details Colleen + Mark planned really amped it up!

Dinner + Dancing + Ice Cream + Pizza + Candy

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails while we got everything ready for dinner and dancing. It was quite the room flip for all of their guests, but all of the details made it perfection. Colleen + Mark’s date night spot is a local ice cream shop who delivered a couple of tubs of the good stuff for guests to enjoy. Colleen’s mom and I put together an enormous candy buffet and there was late night deep dish pizza. Literally, the best things in life. Also, legend has it Mark’s dad was late for his own wedding because he stopped for a hot dog, so you know we had to deliver one to him during the father of the bride toast. All of that, plus a choreographed dance and a dance floor that wouldn’t quit made for QUITE the party.

We told you it was worth the wait! Congrats to two of the loveliest people we have ever had the pleasure of doing business with!
