This fusion wedding at the Chicago Botanic Gardens for Kesar and Matthew was so much fun to put together. They reached out in February and we started looking at venues in Michigan, Chicago, and California, three places that meant a lot to both of them. They knew they wanted to get married that summer and when the Chicago Botanic Gardens had a Saturday available in early May, they snagged it and we set off planning their weekend in just two months!
The Sangeet
Kesar and Matthew hosted their sangeet at Loft Lucia on Friday night (Cinco de Mayo) and we chose colors and flowers to complement them. Margaritas, a taco bar, and mehendi artists welcomed guests to start the weekend party.
The Wedding
On Saturday, the wedding the fusion wedding at the Chicago Botanic Gardens started outside with the baraat. Matthew used a golf cart and the music and dancing were fabulously festive. Guests headed inside to the stunning Hindu ceremony during which the sun came out and cocktails commenced in the garden. We snuck Kesar and Matthew out at the end of the cocktail hour for a quick outfit change before announcing them into the tented reception. Dinner, dancing, and good times kept going until way past sundown. We enjoy and excel at a tight turnaround for a wedding. So don’t be afraid if you want to try and plan yours in just a few short months, just call us.
