This fusion wedding at Rockwell on the River was a multi-day extravaganza celebrating Saujanya and Hamish. Currently living in Australia, Saujanya and Hamish planned a four-day party for friends and family here in Chicago where Saujanya grew up and her family still lives.
A sangeet kicked off the wedding day with Hamish riding a horse around Rockwell on the Rivers outdoor plaza. While Saujanya looked on, the crew danced and sang before Hamish headed inside to get his blessing from the priest and begin the Hindu ceremony. Following a beautiful ceremony, guests ate a traditional Indian lunch and then headed out for a brief break and to change for the evening festivities. Meanwhile, we completely flipped the room to set up for the western ceremony and reception. It didn’t matter that the day was long, this crew partied until the wee hours and this fusion wedding at Rockwell on the River was an epic celebration.
