This springtime wedding at Meson Sabika truly had it all. From the most perfect maximalist pastel palette and the kindest clients. During the ceremony, the wind picked up a little, and the guests were gently showered with “helicopters” from the maple trees around the grounds. It elicited chills and was the perfect gift from nature to bless this marriage.
Springtime in Chicago is always a little iffy but Cheryl + Jim brought their California vibes and great weather with them when they made the trek back to Chery’s hometown to get married! After several years of false starts with Covid raging, and both of them being healthcare professionals, we were finally able to get them married on a beautiful May day. Working with these two was SO EASY and fun. They had done a lot of the planning legwork but were (completely reasonably) tired of it after having to postpone twice so they brought us on to help with the styling details. Working with the floral that was already booked and the space (hello, new gorgeous floors Meson Sabika!) we went full-force into a pastel, maximalist vibe.
Cheryl holds the record for the quickest response to a mood board with the most positive reaction EVER! 🙂 We partnered with great vendors and created amazing details including our mini floral vase escort cards which we love because once guests took them and put them at their seats, it just added to the decor and tablescapes. We are also always here for an insanely gorgeous dress, a cascading bouquet, and colored glassware. This is one of those events we wish we could do every year!
