This springtime wedding at Meson Sabika truly had it all. From the most perfect maximalist pastel palette and the kindest clients. During the ceremony, the wind picked up a little, and the guests were gently showered with “helicopters” from the maple trees around the grounds. It elicited chills and was the perfect gift from nature to bless this marriage.
This fall floral wedding at Schubas was full of warmth and joy. Allison and Brad were the loveliest to work with and totally trusted our recommendations throughout the planning process. Brad is a graphic designer and had a great vision for the day. It didn’t hurt that they got the most beautiful weather and fall foliage to complement the design.
Ready to see this maximalist glam inspired office? With Covid putting a screeching halt to wedding season, and everyone moving into a home office and doing s ton of nesting, we got to do some designing! If there is one thing I love in equal amounts to throwing a party, it’s definitely traveling and New York City is a favorite. Exploring new places, trying new foods, and seeing how others live is one of the things that brings me a lot of joy, not to mention endless amounts of inspiration for events and interiors. New York City is one of those places you can go over and over again and never do the exact same thing. I try to spend at least one weekend every year in NYC, and here are the things I constantly find myself going back to time and time again. Consider this your cheat sheet for a weekend well-spent, you know, once we can travel again.
Everything is weird right now. And even weirder that you all are out there trying to plan a wedding during this upside-down time. SO, anything that resembles the before times, or just a moment to get out of your routine and pretend things are normal is such a treat. So when the team at Belle Atelier asked us to swing by to see their new Chicago wedding dress shop (literally opened right as the pandemic got going) we jumped. We also showered, put on hard pants, lightly blow-dried, and put on EYE MAKE-UP (took a minute to remember how, tbh) so it’s clear we are in love with Giselle and the team.
