Siobhan + Nate’s wedding at Ignite Glass Studios last summer was nothing less than magical, beautiful and most of all, happy. You would never guess it rained just minutes before the ceremony from looking at these bright, sunny faces!
Siobhan + Nate are the kind of people that you just adore from the minute you meet them and the more you get to know them, the more you adore them. So, it’s only fitting that their wedding is the same way – the more you see of this wedding, the more you will love every bit of it. First, there’s Siobhan’s gorgeous dress and stunning flowers from Jasmine Galleria and then there are the bridesmaid dresses! Hot pink dresses with turquoise statement necklaces?! We approve.
One of our favorites, Julia Franzosa Photography, captured some great candid shots of the bride + groom and the wedding party before the wedding. Those gentlemen are quite dapper if we do say so ourselves.
Meanwhile back at the ranch, I mean, Ignite Glass Studios, we were putting the finishing touches on everything for the reception. The couple brought Mexican folk elements in to weave some cultural touches into the day and every detail was flawless. We loved the papel picado banners (that were custom made to include the bride + groom’s names and wedding date), the cafe lights, and the table numbers (based on the Mexican Bingo game, La Lotoria). As if that wasn’t enough… there were also the favors — Mexican pottery collected by Siobhan + Nate for each guest — and the dozens (maybe hundreds) of vases that Siobhan and her mother collected to line the rustic farm tables. And that cake! We have to admit, cakes aren’t typically our favorite elements, but this one from Elysia Root Cake might be our favorite one yet.
Despite a forecast with ZERO percent chance of rain, Mother Nature kept us on our toes and let it drizzle just moments before Siobhan + Nate were supposed to walk down the aisle…outside. Well, Mother Nature met her match! The team of vendors moved FAST and within minutes we had everything moved inside and ready to go. You never would have guessed that Plan B wasn’t Plan A from these gorgeous photos.
The rain stopped right as Siobhan + Nate were saying their “I do’s” (Coincidence? We think not!), so the guests headed up to the rooftop deck to enjoy cocktails outside following the ceremony. Siobhan + Nate’s guests rounded out the night with a delicious meal from Fig Catering, late night snacks from The Tamale Spaceship and some of the best dancing we’ve seen in a long time.
They say rain on your wedding day is good luck and we definitely believe it! Siobhan + Nate are expecting a baby boy in a few months! Thanks for letting Anticipation Events be part of your very lucky and very happy wedding day!
