Mackenzie + Matt wanted a wedding that felt like a great party with all their favorite people. They got it. Take a June day at Elawa Farm, add more hedges than you can count and flowers in basically every color, and you get a day we’re still smiling about.
Pajamas, Pins + Pre-Wedding Giggles
The morning started with the good stuff: shoes tucked under the veil, rings resting on lace, and a dress hanging in the window light like it knew it was about to be photographed. A couple of patterned pajama sets showed up, and we approve. And those flamingo pin and banana pins proved that a wedding can be elegant and fun at the same time.

Over on Matt’s side, there was a watch, a pair of cufflinks, and the guys heading out in their tuxes with a lot of style.

Hedge Goals
Elawa Farm is made for this. Clipped hedges, gravel paths, and a brick building with a clock tower waiting at the end of the view. Matt’s ivory dinner jacket popped against all that green, and Mackenzie’s bouquet of orange, hot pink, and purple anemones did the rest.
And this photo of them just adorably staring at each other? The cutest.

Later, they ducked into the barn doorway for a quiet minute – veil, soft light, nobody else around.

The Squad (And One Very Easy-To-Spot Groom)
The bridesmaids carried bouquets just as bold as Mackenzie’s. The groomsmen wore classic black tuxes with orange boutonnieres, and Matt’s ivory jacket made him very easy to find in the lineup (and can we talk about how it matches Mackenzie’s dress perfectly?!) The couple also took a few group pictures with their loved ones, eager for the big moment.

Walking & Vowing
And all of a sudden, it was time to walk down the aisle. Guests settled onto the lawn between tall evergreens, with stone urns of flowers marking the aisle. Mackenzie walked down with her loved ones while Matt grinned the whole way, and then came the rings, the kiss, and just like that, they were married – they even sealed the deal with a high five!

A Flower Party (Cake Included)
If the bouquets were the opening act, the reception tables were the encore. Wildflowers, cornflowers, and daisies popped out of little glass vessels like they’d crashed the dinner party, all of it set against warm wooden cross-back chairs. The cake, white and ruffled like a giant petal, played it cool so the flowers could keep soaking up the attention.

Sunset Kisses + A Barn Full of Dancing
Toasts came first, with laughs, a few happy tears, and a champagne clink or two. Then the sun got low and golden, and Mackenzie and Matt slipped away to the meadow for one more kiss with the sky doing its thing.

The party moved into the brick barn, where string lights glowed over the first dance and the energy only climbed from there. Mackenzie and Matt each took a turn twirling with their loved ones, a canopy of lights twinkled over the tables outside, and Mackenzie swapped into a sparkly second look made for dancing. By then, the dance floor was officially open for business.

We’ll end where the night did: a kiss and a swirl of light.

cheers to mackenzie + matt!
