Shine bright like Ruk + Matt! Last winter, when Ruk + Matt got married at Thalia Hall, it may have been dreary and cold in Chicago, but you wouldn’t know it by look at their bright and colorful wedding. With the most amazing vendor team and the coolest clients out there this January wedding was one hell of a way to kick off our 2016 wedding season.
Ruk + Matt’s wedding was the perfect combination of everything about them – traditional, colorful, vintage, hip, and one big ball of fun, starting with their mehndi ceremony at a friend’s house.
The next day was the big one. Ruk + Matt got ready and took their first look photos at Thalia Hall. On the most auspicious day, with a cake on every table, they flew in their favorite YouTube performer, donned their fancy clothes and partied all night long. Truly, this is a great example of the living the Anticipation Events brand.
Ceremonies on stage bring the best kind of drama. Nothing but gorgeousness with that flower canopy created by Fleur?! I mean, come on with your ridiculous beauty. Can we plan this wedding every weekend?
Following the ceremony, guests had cocktails on the balcony while we flipped the room for dinner and dancing. Ruk + Matt are one of the sweetest, kindest couples we have ever had the pleasure of working with, and everything about this wedding was so much YES.

Cleary, we just can’t get enough Thalia Hall weddings! But who can blame us? Killer vendor team? Check. Fun fabulous couple? Check. Gorgeous unforgettable wedding? Check, check! Hope you enjoy the eye candy as much as we do!
Melissa + Eric started their day getting ready at the Palmer House Hotel before heading out to the crazy Chicago wilderness for some photos. We love any couple that’s up for trekking through some obstacles to take amazing shots, but these guys embraced it in a whole new way.
From there, Melissa + Eric headed to Thalia Hall for a sweet, sentimental ceremony, amazingly delicious dinner and, of course, to dance the night away! Thalia Hall has exposed brick, amazing patina on the walls and a dramatic chandelier in the entry, which is one of the reasons we love it so much: you really don’t need to decorate it. Melissa and her dad shimmied to a Blues Brothers homage, guests took snaps in front of their harvest moon, and that bouquet: StemLine Creative CRUSHED it!

In March, we were thrilled to be back at one of our very favorite venues, Thalia Hall. And with clients like Mary + Andy, we were the lucky one.! Mary + Andy are just effortlessly fun, happy and cool. I mean, any bride that gets down on the floor to have a pep talk with her flower girl and ring bearer before she goes down the aisle is awesome in our book.
So fun to finally get to share all of the pictures from this styled shoot we did at Thalia Hall before it was renovated and open to the public! An amazing crew of vendors pitched in to create one of my very favorite shoots ever. We coordinated and styled all of this amazingness, which I always find so amazing to see it all come together. James + Cyril said “oui!” at Thalia Hall in August. A lawyer and an architect, one from Chicago and one from France, these two have enough style in their pinky fingers to pull off the chicest wedding of the year. Thalia Hall was built in the 1800’s and was restored and reestablished in May of 2014 after having been vacant for 50 years. An architectural wonder in and of itself and coupled with James and Cyril being the very first wedding Thalia Hall hosted was just the kind of experience they were looking to wow their guests with.
