What do you get when you combine fireworks, Camp Wandawega, a grilled cheese food truck, swimming, the biggest campfire you’ve ever seen, merit badges and old school games? The campiest weekend ever and Elena + Ken’s fourth of July wedding extravaganza!
Elena + Ken’s wedding was more than a wedding, it was really a weekend of fun and family reunion with all of their best friends at one of the best places on Earth: Camp Wandawega. The guests started off the weekend with old school camp games where they could win merit badges created by the couple. Throughout the day, everyone enjoyed breakfast on the hill, grilled cheese from the food truck for lunch and, of course, tasty beverages all day. We know, you wish you were there.
While the guests played volleyball, potato sack raced and practiced their archery skills, Elena + Ken headed into the cabins to get ready. You can’t help but love a beautiful setting like this for getting ready for your wedding day!
While the guests played and the couple got ready, we made sure each and every detail was in place from the mismatched chairs for the reception to the luminaries for late night shenanigans on the dock.
Of course, with Camp Wandawega as your backdrop Elena + Ken had to sneak off to get some amazingly gorgeous photos.
Finally the festivities begin with a super sweet ceremony overlooking the lake and a fun-filled reception followed by a bonfire of epic proportions!

Jackie + Jon’s winter wedding was everything a winter wedding in Chicago should be… lush, tropical and warm. Wait, what? Chicago winters aren’t any of those things? Well, when you get married at A New Leaf it is!
Liz + Matt’s fairy tale wedding at Germania Place last fall was definitely one of the most romantic affairs of the season! Laura was on board to coordinate this one and had a blast working with this sweet couple and one of the most organized brides we’ve ever met!
Liz and her bridesmaids got ready at her apartment, which she spruced up for the big day with some adorable details to make it super special. We love when people want to get ready at home, what a comforting, fun environment for the morning of your wedding and GREAT memory to have in your house!
When Liz first moved to Chicago, she lived at the Belden Stratford, so this was the perfect place for her first look photos with Matt. Liz’s dad also couldn’t wait to see her all dressed up for the big day, so Liz did a mini first look session with him too, which is just too cute! After that, Liz + Matt headed out with their wedding party for photos against the beautiful and iconic background of Lincoln Park.
Liz is a project manager and she project managed the heck out of her wedding! Every little detail was perfect and she had the day planned out perfectly. Liz and her mom put together all of the wedding details themselves and they could not be more beautiful and personal. For their guest book, friends and family wrote notes on fabric squares that will be made into a quilt to keep forever. In keeping with the romantic overload of this gorgeous day, dramatic floral arrangements and candelabras adorned purple linens and provided wine glass favors for all of their guests.
Liz and her wedding party walked down the aisle to Christina Perri’s song, A Thousand Years. Liz entered right as the song hit its crescendo and the entire room was in tears.
The couple ended the night on the dance floor – twirling away the evening into their very own happily ever after.

Courtney + Mike were married in April 2014 at the Chicago Cultural Center. Being Irish and Catholic didn’t help their guest list numbers and they celebrated with 250 friends and family at the Rockefeller Memorial Chapel and they partied all night long at the beautiful Chicago Cultural Center.
Michelle and Todd were married at The Rookery in August 2013. As you can plainly tell from this photo, they had a terrible time. Ha! So much fun and lightheartness with these two made for just a lovely day for everyone. Aislinn, girl wonder and coordinator extraordinaire got Michelle and Todd down the aisle and to the party with ease.
