“Elizabeth was the ultimate wedding professional. As a type-A personality, I needed to be in control of the planning portion of our event, but utilized Elizabeth to execute and produce all of the day-of happenings. When we encountered scheduling or planning issues (such as our wedding cake problems, Elizabeth was there to help with suggestions and helped to execute a solution. The day of our wedding was flawless; not one aspect was over-looked and everything had such a polish on it. Elizabeth was the consummate director, blending into the background action, but being available for anything and everything. Her skill at planning, directing, and executing are beyond match.Lastly, Elizabeth is one classy gal. Her personality is friendly and approachable while being confident and precise. She always has a smile and an easy-going way about her. Our level of angst was significantly lowered knowing that the wedding was in her capable hands.” |

“From the beginning Elizabeth was super helpful with everything and great to work with. On the day of everything was taken care of and I wasn’t worried about anything because I knew she would handle it. Other than being great at her job she is a wonderful person! I would definitely recommend her to any and everyone! Thank you so much for everything!” |

“Elizabeth from Anticipation Events was fantastic. We wanted someone to help us with day-of planning, and are so lucky to have stumbled upon Elizabeth. Elizabeth has the perfect combination of being amazingly organized and detail oriented, while maintaining her calm and friendly presence.

“Elizabeth from Anticipation Events did a FABULOUS job on our wedding this past summer on 7.7.12 (one of the hottest days in the summer!) We were blessed to have her be a part of our day and helping us through the last stretch in preparation. During our engagement we planned everything ourselves, from meeting and preparing with our vendors to creating do it yourself details. We knew the final vendor we wanted was a “Day of the Wedding” wedding planner. That’s when we found Anticipation Events. All her reviews online were great, and her website was quirky and creative. We chose the “One Fine Day Package.” She made it seem like we had worked together for the full year and a half and went above and beyond the seven items included in the package. Some things included: initial meeting to discuss the vibe of the wedding, creating a detailed timeline for the day, a walk through at our reception site. She handled final confirmations for ALL our ten vendors, handled gratuities to vendors, helped set up DIY details in the reception space, and helped coordinate the rehearsal. She made sure all the things you don’t think about grabbing at the end of the night were sent to our hotel room. She even checked in with us the day after the wedding. We couldn’t believe how much she did for us in such a short time. Being both art teachers it’s hard to relinquish creative direction, but when we met Elizabeth we knew she would make it look exactly how we envisioned! Everyone was impressed with how smoothly Elizabeth helped all parts of the reception flow. Anticipation Events would be the perfect match for anyone. Elizabeth is not only fabulous on the business end of weddings, but her background in art helps give her a keen eye for details and the design aspect of your wedding. She is professional, organized, and most importantly very easy to work with. We highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you again Elizabeth for keeping us “cool” on one of the hottest days in July on our wedding day!” |

“I cannot say enough good things about Elizabeth and Aimee from Anticipation Events. They both went above and beyond in every aspect of planning before, on the day of, and after my wedding. My parents have commented over and over how glad they were to have Aimee there on the wedding day, and that she made everything so much easier for them and constantly made sure they didn’t need anything else.
I’m not sure how she pulled that off, because she was that person for myself, my husband, and the entire bridal party, too. Everything went off without a hitch, and we really couldn’t have done it (well, at least) without Aimee! Originally, my husband and I met with Elizabeth. I knew our personalities lined up right away – in part because she didn’t give me the same “are you completely out of your mind?” look that most vendors gave me when I said that I was getting all our flowers from the farmer’s market the morning of the wedding and that I didn’t care one bit about linens, etc, and in part because the second we told her that we were going to LA & Palm Springs for our honeymoon, she asked if we were staying at the Ace. (We were!) Procrastinator that I am, Elizabeth was already booked, but mentioned that Aimee was available. I was a little bummed that we wouldn’t get to have Elizabeth there on the day-of, but we clicked immediately with Aimee, too, and she went out of her way to make sure we had the chance to get to know her. It ended up feeling like we got two awesome day of coordinators for the price of one, because they were both an email or text away anytime I needed them!I can’t count the number of times my husband and I looked at each other in the days/weeks before and after the wedding and said that hiring Elizabeth and Aimee was some of the best money we spent on the wedding. They made all the carting things over (we got married at Salvage One, where you can bring your own alcohol, desserts, etc) and setting my DIY projects up so much easier. I can count so many ways that the day-of would have been hectic without Aimee, but instead I got to enjoy everything with a glass of champagne in hand. If you’re on the fence about hiring a coordinator, or Anticipation Events, trust me that you won’t regret it!” |

“We used Elizabeth from Anticipation Events for our wedding day on 5/27/12. I couldn’t have been happier! It was money well spent to make our wedding day go as smoothly as it did. She was on top of everything. So professional and a complete pleasure to work with.

“Elizabeth from Anticipation Events was absolutely the best! She thought of every detail, yet didn’t impose her ideas on us. She listened, smiled, and calmly took care of all the little details that made our wedding special. Her answer to every request was, “I’ll take care of it.” I can’t recommend her highly enough!” |

“AE was the perfect resource for my wedding this year. Not only did Elizabeth provide the best advice a girl could ask for, but she was extremely dedicated to making our day the best day it could be. The week of our wedding we had a lot of issue with the venue and Elizabeth handled all of the stress with patience and grace.

“Elizabeth was my wedding day-of-coordinator, and I couldn’t be more pleased with her work! Since I was planning our wedding all the way from California, I had to communicate with her primarily through email and phone. Even without meeting her personally, she really put me at ease, and I knew I could trust her to handle everything – even my 32-person wedding party!!!

“Let’s see, where do I begin. Okay, I’m just gonna come right out and say it, Elizabeth is absolutely awesome! When I first interviewed Elizabeth, I knew right away that she was a good match for me. I could tell that we would be able to work well with each other both coming from a design background.

“We hired Elizabeth as our day-of coordinator for our June wedding at the Byron Colby Barn (Grayslake, IL). With our venue you bring everything in separately — like caterer, alcohol delivery, chairs for the outdoor ceremony — and do all your own decor. So we had our hands very full.

“Elizabeth did a fantastic job with the day of coordination for our wedding. She went above and beyond making sure I didn’t need to worry about any of the details. In my opinion, hiring Elizabeth was one of the best decisions I made!
After all of the work I put into planning our wedding, I didn’t want to be worried about all of the little details that day. Elizabeth took care of everything and more. Making sure the vendors were doing what they were supposed to do and smoothing out minor issues that arose. If it weren’t for Elizabeth, our wedding and reception would not have been nearly as nice . She provided help, guidance and support any time I needed it. She was absolutely wonderful!!! Not only is she competent and hard-working, she’s also a very nice person which makes her a delight to work with. If you are getting married in the Chicagoland area, I would highly recommend her.” |

“It is hard to put in to words how happy we are that we chose Anticipation Events to be our wedding planner, but we will try! Elizabeth, the owner of Anticipation Events, is AMAZING! My now husband and I joke with each other that we would still be planning our wedding today if it were not for Elizabeth.

“Elizabeth was the DOC for our barn wedding this summer, and I have no idea how we could have pulled it off without her. She was amazing. The first time we met her was the day before, as she was orchestrating our rehearsal. I had been stressing so much about the wedding I was starting to get sick, but she instantly put us at ease.

“Elizabeth was absolutely brilliant to work with. Hiring her was probably the best decision that we made. She worked with us to refine and finalize our day-of timeline and then contacted all of our vendors the week before to confirm our plans. In addition, she attended a walk-through and helped us run our rehearsal. The rehearsal would have been madness had she not been there.

“I could not have been more impressed with the diligence and amount of details that Elizabeth put into my baby shower. She went beyond the chips-and-dip and put together a spread that highlighted the ‘animals and infants’ theme. From animal cookie gift bags for the guests to decor that resembled the nursery, she put on a classy shower that was a far cry from the ‘measure the belly’ showers of old.

“Elizabeth seriously saved the day, several times over and I shudder to think what our wedding would have been like without her. She showed up early and did everything from hanging curtains, putting out place cards, our guest book, coordinating details with the caterer, taking deliveries. She also put a timeline together with me and confirmed all our vendors in the week before.

“Elizabeth acted as DOC at our October wedding, but she provided so much more than basic coordination services. I had a quirky and particular vision for the atmosphere we were going for and insisted on DIYing an absurd percentage of the wedding (i.e. making table runners, programs, escort cards, centerpieces, you name it!). She not only did exactly what I needed done, she went above and beyond, spending hours the measuring tables, walking the space, formalizing a timeline, and generally keeping me focused.

“A few months before my wedding I realized that I probably couldn’t run my DIY-heavy show myself, and ended up working with Elizabeth from Anticipation Events. She’s a sweetheart, and quick to respond by phone and e-mail. She drove several hours in the rain to be at the rehearsal, then showed up bright and early on wedding day to set up.

“I cannot say enough good things about Elizabeth! I hired her as our day of coordinator only two months before our wedding. She always replied promptly to my emails and made me feel more like a friend than a client. I was a very detail oriented and hands on bride, but I needed someone to handle things for me on the big day. Because of Elizabeth I truly had a stress free wedding day!
