Heather + David were married in May 2014 at Chez Chicago. They really rallied when they lost their original venue just a few weeks before their wedding. All of us vendors kind of tried to jump in and help them find a new space and it was weird how it worked out — Heather kept talking about bright, light, open and airy spaces. indie wed 2014 at ravenswood event center
The only wedding show we ever participate in rolled around last winter and we (per usual) stayed up all night putting the finishing touches on our booth. Indie Wed at the Ravenswood Event Center is one of our favorite times of the year because we get to see so many of our very favorite vendors in one place and get the chance to be creative with only the dimensions of our booth to confine us.
Laura saved the day when I was setting up and my giant, golden “P” popped. Let’s face it, “Let’s Arty” just doesn’t have the same ring as “Let’s Party!”

best thing we saw today: pressed bouquet flowers
Lucy had a brilliant idea to preserve her wedding bouquet flowers in a gorgeous, modern way.
After her wedding she disassembled the bouquet, pressed the flowers (along with one her husband picked on their honeymoon!) and placed them between glass frames.
This is such a beautiful reminder of her beautiful day – and one I plan to copy just as soon as I can!
